Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) includes methods of communication used in place of traditional speech and writing, used by or for those with speech or other communication impairments to improve the individual’s ability to communicate.

Salubris Speech Therapy offers a comprehensive speech-language, communication, cognitive, visual, and motor evaluation with ongoing analyses of alternative modes of communication in order to develop and/or suggest the most appropriate communication tools to suits the individual client.

AAC can be temporary or permanent and includes the following:

Communication boards or books
Speech-generating devices
High-tech computerized communication devices
